We are Green
Olde Good Things takes pride in being a green business. In fact, we were “green” before it was cool. This means we have reducing waste and repurposing historical artifacts down to an art.
OGT works hand-in-hand with the demolition community to reduce waste. We preserve each distinctive item to be put to functional and decorative uses. Our architectural items may appear in their original forms, or they may be refurbished into custom sustainable furnishings and decorative art. We sell vintage antique hardware, mantels, doors, and other salvaged items that would be left to languish in the scrapyard or trash pile.
Our locations feature an array of handmade tables crafted from reclaimed wood flooring and beams. Our aesthetically pleasing wood frame mirrors incorporate decorative wood molding.
Architectural ceiling tin has been reinvented as tin mirror frames and decorative tin panels. Copper cornice and drain pipes are fabricated into tasteful verdigris mirror frames.
Part of dealing in reclaimed architectural salvage means we find it beyond sad to see the beautifully detailed relics of the past tossed into a landfill. This is why Olde Good Things holds to a standard of “reduce, reuse, recycle” in all of our practices.
