This is a circular frieze depicting the seal of the city of Philadelphia. It was salvaged from the demolished “Philadelphia Civic Center.” The building was erected in 1929 and hosted political conventions, sporting events and other general activities. It is uncommon to find such artifacts, especially in such great condition! Originally it was a part of the center’s exterior wall and our salvage experts, also known as ‘Architecturologists,’ were able to carefully remove it without causing any significant damage.
