This 1940s desk has a center drawer and four drawers on each side with Chippendale hardware and dovetail joints. Kneehole desks date back to the 18th century and have sets of drawers on either side of the recessed or “kneehole” area that provides room for the legs when a chair is pulled up to the desk.
