Hand held navy lantern with original bulb. It operates on giant batteries known as ‘telephone’ batteries. These are 1.5 volt batteries that are the size of a coke can and were widely used in the 1940’s. You can make internal adjustments to operate this lantern on D cells or some other 1.5 volt batteries, or if you are not walking around on a Navy ship, you can convert it into regular AC with a cord for the wall. Sold as is.
