SKU: Q278569 Categories: ,

Antique early 1900s lightning rod made of copper, steel and milk glass. A lightning rod was used to “catch” a bolt of lightning and disperse its energy through a ground wire. The glass ball was used to determine if a lightning strike had occurred. If the ball was broken, it was likely that a strike happened. This is in very good condition with the glass globe intact.
