French Regency Louis XVI style burgundy marble mantel with heavy gray and white veining and decorative carvings along the header. This mantel was one of a group of antique mantels imported from Europe and installed in the Waldorf Astoria hotel in the 1930’s when the hotel was first built on Park Avenue, This mantel is original to Room 36J.
