19th Century petite Georgian style statuary and special green marble mantel. There are cherubs on the top two plinths and an urn motif in the center of the header. The green inlay is veined with a darker green and white. This mantel was one of a group of antique mantels imported from Europe and installed in the Waldorf Astoria hotel in the 1930’s when the hotel was first built on Park Avenue. It is original to suite V on the 15th floor of the hotel.
