Circa 1810 English Regency white statuary and verde marble mantel. The mantel has very slight gray veining and heavy gray veining in the green insert. There are carved urn motifs in the middle of the header and the two top plinths. This mantel was one of a group of antique mantels imported from Europe and installed in the Waldorf Astoria hotel in the 1930’s when the hotel was first built on Park Avenue. It is original to suite F of the 35th floor of the hotel.
