This 19th century petite English Recency mantel features opulent dark green Verde Ramegiato inlaid with white statuary marble. At the top, a Verde Ramegiato shelf sits above a slightly smaller length of statuary marble. Four cherub cameos decorate the Verde Ramegiato apron, highlighted with lengths of channeled statuary marble inlays between each. The same channeled inlay runs the length of each jamb.

This mantel was imported from Europe to decorate the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NYC which opened on Park Avenue October 1, 1931. Original to suite F on the 32nd floor of the towers, a Waldorf Astoria authenticity card is included with your purchase.

The original hearth is not included. Pictured still installed at the Waldorf Astoria, kindly request the reclaimed condition before purchasing. Located at our Scranton Warehouse, please allow 3-4 weeks for processing.
