1810s English Regency statuary marble mantel with Calcutta gold. The marble is in good condition. This mantel was one of a group of antique mantels imported from Europe and installed in the Waldorf Astoria hotel in the 1930s when the hotel was first built on Park Avenue. It is original to suite R on the 16th floor of the hotel. The hearth has a crack, a repair was made to the right corner of the top trim and there are chips on both right & left plinth blocks, with a small chip inside the trim of the left leg.
