This especially petite circa 1900 marble mantel is a mix of warm neutral veining, blending grays, creams, siennas, ochres, and ivories together like a watercolor. A very unique material, the design of the mantel is otherwise simple. The plain shelf and apron lead to simple corbels at the top of each jamb. This is the very definition of less is more. Imported from Europe by Danny Alessandro & Edwin Jackson Mantel Company, Danny and Edwin were fine mantel dealers that specialized in fireplaces and mantels for private clients. Their collection carries the quality and timelessness one could expect from these mantels experts, and OGT was pleased to add this piece to our collection.
