This mantel was reclaimed from a prestigious apartment at 950 5th Avenue NYC which was built in 1926. The serpentine apron is decorated with a slightly arched and scrolled center motif while the forward facing jambs are carved with minimal details. The circa 1920’s mantel was removed in very good condition, having wear consistent with its age. A photo of the mantel before its removal from the 5th Avenue apartment is included. The iron surround and hearth are not available.
