Early 1800’s Victorian arched heavily carved marble mantel with Baroque center details and rosebud florals and leaves. Rope and ribbon detail decorate the center arch and acanthus leaf corbels grace the two stately sides. The marble is rare white statuary and is in excellent condition. This mantel was purchased from a private owner on Long Island, who stated that the mantel was previously owned by President James Monroe in New York City.
