SKU: P260279 Categories: , ,

Petite antique white Carrara marble mantel circa 1900 and acquired by Olde Good Things from a restoration project on West 11th St in NYC. This mantel was reclaimed from a mid 19th century house in what was formerly known as the “Gold Coast” of Manhattan. Beautifully carved floral patterns surrounded by interwoven circles adorn the apron, while a striking beaded detail ascends between grooved channels on the face of the jambs. Carved acanthus leaves stand up at the bottom of the jambs, and classic floral motifs decorate the upper corners.

The mantel is finely carved and in very good condition, having some wear consistent with its age. The curved Breccia marble insert is included, but can be removed if desired. This mantel can be seen on display in our flagship showroom located at 333 West 52nd St. NYC.
