La Ronda of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, the last commissioned Addison Mizner work north of the Mason-Dixon line, was recently sold. With much controversy, the monumental home, considered Mizner’s northeast masterpiece, was slated for demolition to make way for the new owner’s estate. Olde Good Things was asked to salvage many of the historical architectural elements and preserve them for future use by Mizner fans all over. Now available are several pieces from this unique mansion, such as an arched stained glass windows and doors with medieval figural detail, and a hand painted pecky cypress ceiling, one of Mizner’s well-known handprints on American architecture.
