This stately antique arched marble mantel is from a Long Island City townhouse built in 1881. Comprised of Carrara marble with gray veining, the main arches are framed with wide carved lines and feature half bull nose edging around the firebox opening. The hand carved keystone is a classic design with a scrolled top and oval cartouche center. A serpentine shelf with rounded edges completes the surround. This mantel is in very good condition with wear consistent with its age and will be cleaned and restored to condition ready for installation. Please allow 3-4 weeks for processing.
