Thomson gazelle taxidermy of African origin. The Thomson gazelle is one of the best known gazelles and can be found in numbers exceeding 550,000 in East Africa. It is named after explorer Joseph Thomson and is sometimes referred to as “tommie”. They are considered a subspecies of the red fronted gazelle.
