Made by The Schmidt Mfg. Company. The original retail price was $25.00. The scroll and pillar body style is a frequently encountered design frill for early 1900s zithers. The scroll and pillar are purely ornamental and serve no functional or structural purpose. The vague resemblance to a concert harp was intended to legitimize these zithers in the minds of prospective buyers.
