This is a simple turn of the 20th century birch wood mantel, done in a transitional style between Victorian and Arts & Crafts. This mantel is dated 1901 and has all original details handwritten on the back label. It has an antique mirror and full column detail on the sides, with a top shelf and side corbels under the shelf. Made by the WM. H. Jackson & Co., who are renowned manufacturers of fire places in Union Square, NYC.
