19th Century French Louis XVI carved limestone mantel with a crema marfil marble hearth. This mantel was one of a group of antique mantels imported from Europe and installed in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in the 1930s when the hotel was first built on Park Avenue. It is original to suite H on the 11th floor of the Towers. There is light chipping on the front of the mantel that adds to the character of the stone, giving it a naturally aged look.
