French made Louis XV carved limestone mantel with a replacement shelf. This mantel was imported from Europe and installed in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel of Park Avenue, New York City in the early 1930s. There is minor chipping which appears somewhat evenly on the legs and shelf of the mantel. This lends to the character and authenticity of the mantel rather than taking away, giving it an aged stone look. This mantel is original to suite M of the 22nd floor. The original hearth is included.
