Early 19th Century Petite Regency statuary marble with reed detail. The carved detail is inset with verde marble combined with faux detail. This mantel was one of a group of antique mantels imported from Europe and installed in the Waldorf Astoria hotel in the 1930s when the hotel was first built on Park Avenue. A small piece missing at time of posting, which is being made.
