This is a rare Italian Portoro marble which features black with gold and white veining. The mantel which was designed in the Gothic Revival manner is from an 1850s townhouse in Greenwich Village. It was original to the home. The plinth blocks add additional height. This piece was removed in excellent condition with no mentionable breaks. Priced as is.
