1920s tan limestone mantel made up of three simple pieces. Natural limestone mantels often feature intricate carvings and architectural details, popular in historical homes. The vertical posts have minimal carved lines, while the horizontal block is decorated at the corners with carved acorn and oak leaf details. The mantel is unfinished on the top edge and the outside edges. This mantel was made to be installed into the wall. Unlike most fireplace surrounds, it was not made with the intention of installing it onto the surface of the wall. The limestone pieces have been cleaned and are in very good condition. This mantel was removed from a private residence in Cleveland, Ohio.
