The history of P & F Corbin Company, headquartered in New Britain, Connecticut, stretches from its founding in 1849 to its ongoing operations. Established by Philip and Frank Corbin, the company started as a manufacturer of hardware, specializing in locks, keys, and builders’ hardware.

This concentric design door knob was made by Corbin in the 1895 catalog. It is part of the M-13000 Etruscan group, also known as the Newport design, depending on what plate it’s paired with. Priced as a pair of knobs with a spindle.
