This knob was in the 1900 catalog and was made for the Marlborough Hotel, New York City. It is part of the P-20360 Marlborough Hotel group. The hotel was located on Herald Square at Broadway and West 36th St. The door knob features griffins and a coat of arms, inscribed Marlborough. Fiel Pero Desdichado, which means “Faithful though Joyless”.
