Sargent and Company, based in New Haven, Connecticut, has a storied history spanning from its founding in 1854 to the present day. Established by Joseph B. Sargent, the company initially focused on manufacturing locks and hardware, laying the foundation for its enduring legacy.

This Art Nouveau style asymmetrical door knob was made by Sargent in the December 10, 1900 catalog. It is part of the B-21800 Alby group. The set includes one entry sized knob and one passage sized knob. Priced per pair of knobs with a spindle.
