This original set was manufactured by Gilbert in 1880 and patented May 30, 1876. It is part of the H-257 group. The four fold fixed knobs have a trigger near to open the latch. The set includes a pair of doorknobs, a mortise lock and matching back plates with keyholes. Both plates were painted over, but with a little soaking it could be removed. Please inquire.
