The “Doggie” design is one of the most sought after drawer or bin pulls by Victorian hardware lovers. They take after their big brother, the prized bronze “Doggie” doorknob, which was made by Russell and Erwin, with this figural dog head being patented by the Metallic Compression Casting Company in 1870. They were the first to manufacture these pulls. In the early 1870s, MCCC was purchased by Russell & Erwin. They made these pulls in three sizes. This is the largest of the dog pulls that were made. Three sizes made were: 3-7/8”, 3-1/2” and 4”. The 3-7/8” ones are slightly heavier weight pulls. These were probably made by Reading Hardware after the company bought MCCC. There are reproductions made of these, but we guarantee that this batch is original. We do have copies as well if you need a large quantity. Priced each.
