These are solid pine crates that were originally used for shipping heavy items many years ago and are very sturdy. We have since used them to make stackable shelves and have stored heavy electronic equipment on them, never with a problem regarding swaying or sagging. These are really reliable. They make terrific and very sturdy book cases. Priced each.
