Waldorf Astoria Statuary Marble English Regency Mantel

This English Regency style mantel is carved from white statuary marble with very light warm gray veining. In the center of the apron is an ornate motif of a carving of a bowl of fruit, symbolizing bounty and prosperity. Above each jamb are matching square floral motifs. A frame embellished with thoughtful ribbon detail runs down each leg. The simple shelf is finished with an ogee edge.
This antique mantel was one of several pieces imported from Europe to furnish the historic Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NYC, which opened on October 1, 1931. This mantel is original to room 700A. A Waldorf Astoria authenticity card is included with your purchase.

Local Pick-Up
Local pick-up for most orders is available in our New York City store and Scranton, PA, warehouse. A fee may apply for larger or heavier items. Processing time may take 1 to 2 weeks. We also have a location in Los Angeles that we ship a large freight container to several times a year with store pick-up available. There is an additional handling charge for this option.
