Waldorf Astoria Petite Regency White Marble Mantel

This petite mantel was carved from white marble and is highlighted with detailed and decorative inlay. A wreath like infinity chain decorates the apron and is framed by corner floral motifs. The same wreath like pattern runs down the top half of each leg, ending as a narrow floral thread. This mantel also has an uncommonly narrow shelf which rises in slight, expanding tiers. A gently worn Crema Marfil marble hearth completes the fireplace.
This antique mantel was one of several mantels imported from Europe to furnish the historic Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NYC, which opened on October 1, 1931. This mantel is original to Room 25K, and a Waldorf Astoria authenticity card is included with your purchase.
Pictured before removal from the Waldorf Astoria, additional pieces of inlay may be missing. This mantel is offered as is. Please note the condition of the trim below the corner motifs. Please ask to see further details of its present condition.

Local Pick-Up
Local pick-up for most orders is available in our New York City store and Scranton, PA, warehouse. A fee may apply for larger or heavier items. Processing time may take 1 to 2 weeks. We also have a location in Los Angeles that we ship a large freight container to several times a year with store pick-up available. There is an additional handling charge for this option.
