Waldorf Astoria English Regency Statuary Marble Mantel

This English Regency style mantel is carved from white statuary marble with classic gray veining. In the center of the apron is a rectangular white marble urn motif with floral detail, and above each jamb are complementary motifs of two matching white marble urns. Hand carved fluting runs across the apron and down each leg. The shelf is carved with a single groove.
This antique mantel was one of several pieces imported from Europe to furnish the historic Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NYC, which opened on October 1, 1931. This mantel is original to room 1014. A Waldorf Astoria authenticity card is included with your purchase.
The original worn cream marble hearth is included. Pictured still installed at the Waldorf Astoria, this is in good condition. Please note that one of the corner motifs became separated and needs to be plastered back during installation. Located at our Scranton Warehouse, please allow 3-4 weeks for processing.

Local Pick-Up
Local pick-up for most orders is available in our New York City store and Scranton, PA, warehouse. A fee may apply for larger or heavier items. Processing time may take 1 to 2 weeks. We also have a location in Los Angeles that we ship a large freight container to several times a year with store pick-up available. There is an additional handling charge for this option.
