Antique Portoro Marble Mantel

$6,000

Reclaimed from a very prominent townhouse in the West Village of Manhattan, NY, this mantel has a classic design with minimal details. The vertical columns consist of solid and seamless blocks of Portoro Marble accented with black marble plinths and egg and dart trim.

This mantel is aged, and its wear complements its character. The existing reclaimed hearthstone was cut around the plinth blocks in old world manner. The curved black trim directly beneath the shelf evidently was constructed with a separation at the center to facilitate handling and installation.

Firebox trim pieces shown in the photos are not included. A basic minimal cleaning will be provided. It is otherwise sold with the finish as is. All unassembled parts are available for viewing in person at our store. There is room to cut and reduce the length of the shelf. Please inquire.
