Antique five section oak wood barrister bookcase. It features original japanned steel knobs and braces. Made by Hale in Herkimer, New York. Barrister bookcases were originally designed for barristers or lawyers to store their libraries. The bookcases are sectional and could have been added to as their library grew. Good condition with surface wear. There is a square shaped repair on the back at the bottom of the cabinet.
