Salvaged Waldorf Louis XVI French Regency Carved Limestone Mantel

$6,800

SOLD

Louis XVI French Regency carved limestone mantel. This mantel was one of a group of antique mantels imported from Europe and installed in the Waldorf Astoria hotel in the 1930s when the hotel was first built on Park Avenue. There is minor chipping, which appears somewhat evenly on the legs and shelf of the mantel. This lends to the character and authenticity of the mantel rather than taking away, giving it an aged stone look. This was original to room 1464.

Waldorf Astoria authenticity card included with your purchase.
