The building was designed by architects Warren and Wetmore in 1912 and still stands today. Renamed the "Grand Hyatt New York" in 1980, it continues to be an iconic destination blending history with modern elegance.
This antique cast terra cotta bust of the wine god Dionysus or Bacchus was salvaged from the very top of the former Vanderbilt Hotel on 4 Park Avenue in New York City. It was made of two pieces, the top is hollow with a terra cotta outer surface and the bottom is filled with brick with a terra cotta outer surface. This construction allowed for easy transport and weight stability. There are several available in various conditions. This listing is for the statue pictured.

Local Pick-Up
Local pick-up for most orders is available in our New York City store and Scranton, PA, warehouse. A fee may apply for larger or heavier items. Processing time may take 1 to 2 weeks. We also have a location in Los Angeles that we ship a large freight container to several times a year with store pick-up available. There is an additional handling charge for this option.
