This special order card catalog, part of the New Life library furniture collection by John E. Sjostrom Co. Inc., is crafted from solid maple and adorned with steel and nickel hardware. The drawers still contain cards, each measuring 3 inches in height by 5 inches in width, adding to its authenticity. They were reclaimed from Upsala College of Orange, New Jersey.

While the unit is in good condition overall, it does exhibit some signs of wear, including scratches in the wood and rusting in the steel base. Notably, one of the sides has sustained damage. Despite these imperfections, the card catalog unit stands as a unique and functional vintage piece.
