Waldorf Astoria French Regency Gray Marble Mantel

This French Regency style mantel is carved from gray marble with white veining and embellished with floral motifs of carved white marble. Carved channels run down the face of the jambs, with white marble filling the bottom third of each channel just above the plinths. A simple design highlighted with white marble carvings.
This mantel was imported from France to decorate the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in NYC, which opened on Park Avenue on October 1, 1931. Original to Suite A on the 16th floor, a Waldorf Astoria NYC authenticity card is included with your purchase.
The original hearth is included as is, or restoration of the hearth can be accomplished for a fee. Pictured still installed at the Waldorf Astoria, please request the reclaimed condition before purchasing. or visit us to view in person.

Local Pick-Up
Local pick-up for most orders is available in our New York City store and Scranton, PA, warehouse. A fee may apply for larger or heavier items. Processing time may take 1 to 2 weeks. We also have a location in Los Angeles that we ship a large freight container to several times a year with store pick-up available. There is an additional handling charge for this option.
