French Regency white marble mantel with carved legs, decorative fruit basket detail in the middle of the apron and floral motifs at the upper corners. This mantel was one of a group of antique mantels imported from Europe and installed in the Waldorf Astoria hotel in the 1930’s when the hotel was first built on Park Avenue. This mantel is original to Room 700A.
