White and green marble mantel with subtle gray and tan veining and decorative black and red details along the header, top plinths and legs. The inside of the mantel has a green marble insert with white veins. This mantel was one of a group of antique mantels imported from Europe and installed in the Waldorf Astoria hotel in the 1930’s when the hotel was first built on Park Avenue. This mantel is original to Room 37Y.
