English Regency style mantel with marble panels of a mixed dark brown and gray color, and white statuary marble trim. The center of the apron, and upper corners, feature plaques with carved urn motifs. This mantel was one of several antique mantels imported from Europe and installed to decorate the historic Waldorf Astoria of New York City which opened on October 1, 1931. This mantel was located in suite 10R. The pictured Crema Marfil marble hearth is not included.
