This plaster head is one of four that was part of the redesign of 564 5th Ave. NY, NY, known as the Euclid Building. Beverly King was the architect in 1945 hired by J.L. Goodman to do the job. He wanted an English atmosphere for his tweeds and ties. The King made the building look like an English Tudor and was well known as Finchley’s Castle, an exclusive men’s store. The original building was built in the late 1800’s.
