OGT’s Discount Furniture Tent Sale in Scranton PA

Olde Good Things has acquired a lot of used furniture over the years. Most of the selected sale pieces need to be restored or in great used condition. You can expect to see tables, dressers, chairs, desks, cabinets, and much more. View the pictures below to see some examples of what you will see at the sale. No holds, first come, first serve. All items are priced to sell quickly. There will also be FREE furniture as well.

The sale is located at our Brook St., Scranton PA warehouse on the Remington street side of the building. Please see the star on the map.

Never before has anyone seen such a diverse collection of seating in one location than on floor 4 ½ (yes that’s correct) of Olde Good Things Capital Records Warehouse in Scranton PA. Here you will find such a vast amount of chairs, that many are even hung from the rafters.

Seating, an essential decorating element for any home, office, or commercial location, is carefully curated by the buying staff at Olde Good Things. Thus, you will find in our inventory an eclectic assortment of big chairs, little chairs, sofas, loveseats, pews, office chairs, desk chairs, side chairs, school chairs, bistro chairs, and bar stools. Plus, styles range from antique to ultra-modern, traditional to funky. There really is something for everyone.

Unfortunately, we’ve acquired so many chairs over the years, that many are not even shown on our web site or in our stores. But if you are on the search, a visit to our Scranton location may be in order. Plus, if you have a specific request we can send you pictures or give you a video tour if you have a specific request.

Choose the Right Height

We do get many requests, including customers trying to find the perfect chair stool for their kitchen counter or bar. If you are on the search for a perfect chair stool, we have here a simple guide to ensure you get the proper height for your application:

Heights of chair stools are generally 18″ from floor to seat. Pair with a table or counter 28″-30″ in height.

Heights of counter stools are generally 24″-26″ inches from floor to seat. Pair with a table or counter 36″-39″ in height.

Heights of bar stools are generally 28″-30″ from floor to seat. Pair with a table or counter 40″-42″ in height.

 

We do have a variety of stools, many singles, and some in pairs or multiples. We also have a large selection of school chairs, which have grown in popularity in restaurant usages. There are pairs of wingback chairs and club chairs. We have a line-up of church pews, which can be cut down to be the perfect entryway bench. You’ll also find outdoor chairs in metal and wood.

You will find a generous variety of chair inventory on our web site and in our stores, but if you just can’t find that exact piece you’re looking for and have an afternoon to spare to take an adventure to our warehouse, you’re invited to floor 4 ½ at our Brook Street Warehouse. You’ll be as excited as we are for you to go on a treasure hunt and uncover that perfect seating match for your decor.
