Sterling Hotel Cast Iron Balcony Railing

$850.00

SKU: L206681 Categories: , ,

Antique cast iron balcony railing with a simple design from the lobby of the Historic 19th Century Sterling Hotel. The Sterling hotel stood at the entry of Wilkes Barre, PA during the hey day of coal barons. It catered to guests such as Eleanor Roosevelt. As the story goes, with many thriving 20th century industrial towns, the hotel sat vacant for a quarter of a century before it finally was taken down. The iron remained in good condition over the years. It still has the crackled paint with rust showing through, which can be sandblasted to bring it back to its original luster. This item is priced per balcony. There are two sizes available.
