Ornate bronze doorknob with filigree escutcheon plates
Description
This is an unusual cast bronze door knob set from the late 1800s. It may be of French origin. The plates are cast brass carefully formed into a beautiful lace-like filigree. These knob sets are ideal for French doors and could also be made into a set of side by side dummy pulls. One of the plates has been bent to curve toward the door making it more three-dimensional. With the curve it is 3.25 in. W and 0.5 in. D. This could be bent back to flat.
